Tooth Colored Fillings

Dental fillings of the past were primarily comprised of metal containing mercury simply because that was the best material we had at the time to replace damaged tooth structure. Like anything, advances in technology brought us composite tooth fillings, sometimes called bonding or resin fillings. Composite is not only far more esthetic, but it also allows us to take away less tooth structure if a cavity has formed in the tooth. and reinforces and strengthens tooth structure. Dr. Andrew Sloan believes in providing the highest quality of materials and services to patients, therefore this is the only type of filling you can expect to have in our office.
